day 62 and 63 – 100 happy days; revelry and recovery

Saturday night, we went out with some good friends to see my favourite band in the whole world – The Collective West (seriously, if haven’t checked them out yet, what the hell are you waiting for?).

We started the evening with a potluck at home (and drinks), then made our way to the Artery for the show (and drinks).  We had a blast, and the CW did not disappoint.

Day 62 – Rocking out to my favourite band with some good friends (and drinks)

After their set, one of my friends – and proud, new CW convert – bought some CDs and my niece ran around and convinced the entire band to sign them.

Then we walked to Bar Bricco and shut the place down.

It was a fantastic night that just kept making me happy until the wee hours of the morning.

Unfortunately, I was feeling less than happy when my cat woke up before 8am this morning.

So Phil and I stumbled to McDonald’s for both the best and worst hangover breakfast that I know, and came home to settle in front of the TV to watch Dr. Who.

I ended up falling asleep, and when I woke up I found my husband, who doesn’t ever nap, doing the same.

Day 63 – recovering after a late night

Just the sight of him, all snuggled up on the couch under that afghan, made my foggy head happy all over again.
