day 53 – 100 happy days; dining blind

Tonight Phil and I had a completely new experience, thanks to Edmonton’s nextgen

We had dinner without being able to see a single thing.

We ate with our hands, we listened to stories and we voted on a community initiative pitch to get the proceeds of the night’s event.

It was a pretty cool evening.  I realized that I rely a lot on non-verbal communication, and I feel a bit lost when I can’t depend on my patented smile and nod.

100 happy days

Day 53 – dining in the dark

I would have liked to get a really cool picture of a roomful of people fumbling through dinner with blindfolds on but, unfortunately, I also had a blindfold on.

We’ll just have to settle for Phil looking like a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.
