Yikes friend! Were they swinging the line around in the OR? I hate the hand ones, my mom steals the numbing cream for me from work and puts it on before they do it.
I guess I have to catch up – again – I missed the surgery thing. But – ouch! I only wanted to pop by and wish you the merriest of holidays up there! Thank you for the laughs this year, and wishing you a fabulous 2012, beautiful – bruises and all! xo
Oh that is no fun. I was in the hospital a lot when I was younger. (Unexplained stomach issues.) I still have a lovely scar on my left had from when one of the nurses blew my vein. It definitely does say something that you didn’t feel anything. Maybe you just bruise like a peach.
I hope that rest of you is feeling much better.

Your bruises are terrible, but at least they don’t clash with your nail polish.
I had bruises like that, too, for 10 days. They missed the veins in my arm and fiddled around with the one on my right hand. My husband, who is needle-adverse, held my shoulder as they did it. I think he was about to faint.
Love your nail color! I always bruise from those things, too. Stupid veins…
